Policies and Information

Ordering Timeline
To ensure timely preparation, all orders must be placed at least 72 hours prior to your event. A minimum order of $30.00 is required. Orders placed with less than 3 working days' notice will incur a late fee of $35. Once we receive your order, we will email a detailed invoice for your approval and payment. Please note that your order will not be finalized, nor production scheduled, until we have received your signed invoice and full payment.

For UMD departments, please verify the accuracy of your order on the emailed invoice. By placing your order, you authorize Goodies to charge your KFS account or departmental purchasing card.

Off-Premise Fee
An off-premise charge is required to cover costs associated with the transportation of food and equipment. However, if your event is held in a facility where Good Tidings has a kitchen (such as the Stamp Student Union, the Xfinity Center, or Tyser Tower), you will be exempt from this fee.

China Service
We offer plain white porcelain plates, stainless steel flatware, and glassware for $4 per person. Events at the Stamp Student Union, Xfinity Center, and Tyser Tower are exempt from this fee. Opting for china service is an excellent choice to create a zero-waste event by eliminating disposables.

Linens
Goodies2Go provides complimentary basic linens for your food service and guest tables. Available colors include black, white, red, and gold. We are also happy to work with you on custom color schemes, collaborating with trusted vendors for additional linen options. Please note that linens from other vendors may incur additional charges.

Staff Charges
All events require staff for setup, service, and cleanup. We’ll assess the number of servers, bartenders, cashiers, and carvers needed for your event, and these charges will be outlined in your contract. We’ll also provide a professional event manager to oversee all event details at no extra charge.

Sustainability
Sustainability is a core value for us. We work to reduce our environmental footprint through local sourcing, composting, recycling, and donating to the student-led Food Recovery Network. Our disposable products are recyclable or compostable. We’re happy to collaborate with you to make your event even greener by offering vegetarian and vegan options, minimizing disposables, and highlighting seasonal or local ingredients. The university provides containers for composting and recycling around campus; refer to the campus map for locations.

Dietary Restrictions
Many of our menu items can be modified to meet dietary preferences or restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, or allergy-friendly options. While we make every effort to accommodate these needs, we may not be able to fulfill all requests.

Delivery Options

  • Drop-Off Delivery: We’ll deliver your order 15–30 minutes before your event begins, giving you ample time to set up. A 10% delivery charge applies, with a $10 minimum and $100 maximum charge.
  • Pick-Up: Alternatively, you can pick up your order from the Stamp Loading Dock, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event will incur a charge.

  • Fall Semester: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (minimum $195 order)
  • Winter Term: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (minimum $195 order)
  • Spring Semester: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (minimum $195 order)
  • Summer Term: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (minimum $195 order)

Office Hours

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Closed during campus holidays, inclement weather, and emergencies.
