What are Dining Dollars?
Dining Dollars are a convenient way to pay for food and snacks at any permanent Maryland Dining location on campus, including dining halls, cafés, markets, and convenience shops. Use your UMD ID card to access and pay with Dining Dollars, and you'll enjoy a discount when you purchase them.
Discounts & Tax Savings:
- Biggest Discount: You get the best discount when you purchase Dining Dollars as part of an upgraded Anytime Dining plan.
- Sales Tax Savings: Dining Dollars allow you to avoid paying sales tax at participating locations, offering additional savings on your purchases.
- Room Snacks and Supplies: Dining Dollars are ideal for purchasing room snacks, toiletries, and supplies from convenience shops across campus. They can also be used in campus cafes for fresh carryout when you prefer not to dine in a hall.
Dining Dollar Bundles:
You can also purchase Dining Dollars in bundles (125, 250, or 500 Dining Dollars), getting a discount on each bundle. These bundles roll over from Fall to Spring, and they expire at the end of finals week, Spring Semester. Please note that Dining Dollars are non-refundable.
How to Check Your Balance:
