Students from a diverse set of majors worked with Dining Services on a wide array of Sustainability, Health, and Wellness topics on issues of importance to the University. Our presentations included an update on Terp Farm Projects such as the new Flower CSA, the UMD SGA Sustainability Committee’s ideas on how to limit plastic bag use, the Consult Your Community team’s framework on building strategies to compete in a retail market, our Waste Audit Coordinator’s update on current investigations, our Farmers Market intern’s update on the market, an in-depth analysis of efficiency on Terp Farm, and an update on the Campus Pantry. We loved all of these wonderful presentations! If you would like to find out more about any of these projects, click on the pictures below to see the presentations themselves. We look forward to all of the exciting work these students will do for sustainable causes in the future!
