Cove Point Winery, the oldest winery in Southern Maryland, produces dry reds and whites as well as sweet wines. Cove Point Winery makes a point of trying to source their grapes and juice as locally as possible, and even grows some of their own grapes out of Lusby, Calvert County. Cove Point Winery is right next to Solomon’s Island with Maryland’s oldest operational lighthouse making their delicious Lighthouse Mist wine series aptly named.
New to wine? No worries, Cove Point strives to make wine everyone can enjoy from newbies to connoisseurs. They even have a helpful wine guide for their own wines. Come out to The Farmer’s Market at Maryland on Wednesday 11-3 outside Cole Fieldhouse to find out more about their wine and maybe even sample some.
