Dining @ Maryland

Parents

We welcome you to participate in Dining @ Maryland — keeping your student connected to you while at the University of Maryland.

  • Terrapin Treats is a gift package service for parents and others who want to reach out and send a special gift to a student at the University of Maryland.
  • Do you have a favorite family recipe that you wish you could send with your student? All you have to do is ask — send us your favorite recipes! — we’ll feature as many as we can this spring semester.

Let’s talk about what we do on campus.

  • The Diner and South Campus, our two main dining halls, serve from over 20 individual culinary stations — we feature many cuisines to suit many palates and dietary needs.
  • Special events, daily specials are great breaks in the usual routine and give our staff a chance to show off their skills and join you in having a little fun at dinner.

There are many ways to participate in Dining @ Maryland. Students living in traditional campus housing (no private kitchen) are required to purchase a dining plan.

Our dietitian is available to talk about accommodations for medically prescribed diets, nutritional information, or other concerns.
