How to Choose and Use Your Dining Plan

Returning students should use the online room selection process to select a dining plan.

Dining plan points will be linked to your UM ID card. You have the opportunity to change your dining plan during the first two weeks of the semester. Points are valid through the end of the current academic semester.

Special Options for Returning-to-Campus-Housing Students

Returning students have some options not available to new-to-campus-housing students:

All-Campus Dining Plans—After two consecutive semesters on a resident dining plan, you can enroll in the All-Campus Dining Plan. Remember that the All-Campus Plan is not for everyone! It could be for you, if you: are a very light eater or a very heavy eater, are willing to exchange some purchasing power for maximum flexibility, are able to keep track of your usage as you receive different discounts at different locations, and want the flexibility to spend any of your points at any dining location on campus. All-Campus Level 3 approximates the purchasing power of the Resident Dining Plan. Be sure to read the information about the All-Campus Dining Plan before you make this decision.
